August Storm's grave details

This site www.weltkriegsopfer.de had the what details they had at hand of Storm's burial:

http://www.weltkriegsopfer.de/Kriegsopfer-August-Storm_Soldaten_0_302219.html

They very kindly updated the page after we contacted them with the Hamburg Wilhelmsburg details. We are very thankful for the help that people have generously given us in this search.

Here is a screenshot of the site and page:

August Storm's grave found!

Margie joined the Axis forum and in a short conversation got a reply from a "Ken S" who posted these details:

"....from the regiment's honor roll:
S t o r m A u g u s t, Füsl., geb. 29. 1. 91, Hollenbeck, Lauenburg, gef. 19. 8. 14, Vallerystal

this could well be him, despite the slight difference in date. The regimental history briefly mentions the events of Aug. 19, which involved 7. Komp., and the locations mentioned are only several kilometres from the cemetery:

August Storm ruht auf der Kriegsgräberstätte in Plaine-de-Walsch.
Endgrablage: Grab 25
Nachname: Storm
Vorname: August
Dienstgrad: Füsilier
Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 24.08.1914..."

In short, after years of searching - we were given the place of August Storm's burial spot!

still searching for "Storm" family

Margie and I (Tim) have renewed our search for the Storm family from Wilhelmsburg that we have descended from. There are so many dead ends and roads that go nowhere. However, we know that - someone, somewhere - will know something so we will try. Andra also picks this up too.

Here are a few places we are trying:

August Karl Heinrich Storm

Our Great Grandfather - August Karl Heinrich STORM died in the first world war 1914
We know next to nothing about him and nothing about his family, except that he was apparently a coppersmith before he went to war, though this is not verified yet.

We Oestmann's in Australia are directly related to the Storm family in Germany through our grandfather Rudi Oestmann (Senoir) who was August Storm's son. Rudi kept his mother's maiden name "Oestmann". Here is what we have - the rest is a mystery.

This is the only bit of information we have about our great-grandfather:

This is from Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg (Gedinkbuch) It says "Gedenkbuch
der im Weltkriege 1914-1918 aus Wilhelmsburg fürs Vaterland Gefallenen"

from the Denkmalprojekt website:

Füs.-Regt. 40, 7. Komp.

Here is the last postcard that he sent to his partner Dora Oestmann. If you might know of any leads to find out more details - we would be interested.

Top picture is a the front of the postcard it says:
"Freiburg i. B." "Karlskaserne mit Siegesdenkmal u. Munster".

Below is August Storm's handwritten postcard to Dora Oestmann in 1914 - it says (in part)

"Muehlhausen 13.8.14 Dear Dora

...my address is fieldpostletter
...Storm. 14. Armycorps 28.Division. Regiment 40.
7 Company (Army) per Rastatt...

many greetings from your August"
